Linda Gassmann

If you're curious enough to "google" me or look me up on LinkedIn, you'll find that I've had quite a variety of jobs over the years, ranging from Sales & Marketing Manager for book publishing companies, Graphic Designer and Art Director for national magazines, residential real estate Broker, and corporate Paralegal. I have worked at advertising agencies, publishing companies, telecommunications firms, IT firms, manufacturing companies, and at a financial institution. I like to describe myself as a "multipotentialite", the phrase coined by Emilie Wapnick, author of How to Be Everything, to describe people with insatiable curiousity, love of learning, and a passion for many different things.

Well, for one, I love to learn about all different types of companies. My curious personality is the perfect match for a copywriter because one day, I may be writing advertising copy for a cosmetics company, and the next day, a case study for a forklift company. My curious nature and passion for learning will translate into an enthusiastic copywriting partnership with you and your company. I will dive in to learn your business and your company goals, and I will care about your success as if it was my own.

I have successfully created and operated three separate businesses for over 18 years (freelance Art Director in New York City, a Broker selling residential real estate in Charlotte, NC, and now a direct response B2B copywriter.  I am a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal currently working for a large bank. I also hold a Graphic Design Certificate from Parsons School of Design in New York City, practice yoga several times per week, enjoy painting, hiking, movies, and dance. I like to use both sides of my brain and feel that makes for a well-rounded partner for your company because I can adapt easily and tailor copy directly to your business and your target market.

Wildfire (a.k.a. Greek fire) was an incendiary weapon used by the Eastern Roman Byzantine Empire in Constantinople beginning in 672. It was a complete weapon system used to decimate enemy ships, and consisted of a flammable green liquid emitted by a flame-throwing weapon that would explode when in contact with flame or sunlight. It continued to burn while floating on or under water, stuck to anything it touched, and could only be extinguished by sand. As it aged, the more powerful its flames became. Its secret formula remains a mystery even today.
